 World War 1 Project

What caused World War 1?

What initially sparked World War 1 was the assasinanion of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914. In reaction to their heir being killed, Austria sent an ultimatum saying for "the assassins be brought to justice effectively nullified Serbia's sovereignty".  Siberia declined these harsh terms thus giving Austria a reason to declare war.

Why did the United States become involved with World War 1?

The United States initially wanted to stay neutral in World War 1. Germans introduced U-boats into the war. These boats sunk U.S merchant ships and many other ships. Wilson had Germany sign a pledge to stop the sinking of U.S ships. Germany violated the pledge and didn't stop. Also, Germany sent Mexico the Zimmerman Telegram. It stated "Germany would help Mexico recover the territory it had ceded to the United States following the Mexican-American War. In return for this assistance, the Germans asked for Mexican support in the war." On April 4, 1917, the U.S. Declared war on Germany.

What was the fighting like and what weapons were used?

Most of the fighting took place in France. Soldiers dug trenches and had to stay put there as bullets came flying by them. Gas was used to get the soldiers out of the trenches. Soldiers also had to deal with hand to hand combat.

The weapons used during World War 1 were the rifle, machine gun, gas, zeppelin, tanks, torpedoes, and planes.

What was the outcome of the war and what was the Treaty of Versailles?

World War 1 ended on November 18, 1918 after Germany signed the treaty of Armistice. Germany signed it because food shortages in their country after the British put naval blockage on them.

The Treaty of Versailles was one of the treaties that ended the war. It made Germany take full responsibility for starting the war and after admitting responsibility was forced to take responsibility of all the war damage. Germany also had to give up most of its land. They were only allowed to have a 100,000 men army.

Carriers in Digital Publishing

I did my movie on a Digital Media Project Manager. I learned that a Digital Media Project Manager has to have a bachelors degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or computer science. Adobe, Google, and AT&T hire people for this job. The future this job is very good. It will adapt with the industries that this job is in. I looked up all this information and put it in a movie presentation.
